Night at the Museum, FAO Schwartz, Central Park, etc.

Our first weekend here, and day with Keith off work we went exploring, and Kayla loves the movie the night at the Museum and so we decided to go to The Museum of Natural History. Kayla got a picture with "Dumbdumb you have gum gum?" She was saying that to Luke as we Went through the museum. We walked through Central Park to get there. It was beautiful, and at times I couldn't believe we were really in NYC it was so beautiful and green.

We also went to Times Square and then to FAO Schwartz where they had life sized lego figures of all the star wars characters. The kids loved the toy store. We walked all the way home after that, but not before heading to the grocery store, and carrying all the groceries home and up all the stairs. We figured out we walked about 10 miles in all that day. But it was fun.

That last picture is a typical picture of me in New York when Keith is at work. Try that with an umbrella also on the rainy days....it is crazy! But we have fun. Some people give me crazy looks though. But I guess it is quite a lot of faces to see all at once.

How fun! You guys will love NYC, I'm sure! Trust me, I did the LA thing, and it's just as crowded, but takes FOREVER to get anywhere!

I love the Sesame Street apartment. Post pics often - Maggie LOVES to see pictures of Kayla and Luke!!

Anika, you truly are amazing! Though it doesn't come as a surprise that you would be able to handle a double stroller, Snugli, and walking all over New York! Sounds like you guys are having a blast!

Anika, I found your blog from the ning site, and am so glad! Looks like you're having a lot of fun in New York, and you look FABULOUS! No way you had a baby so short a time ago... except, I guess, he's in the picture. :-) I love the Peter Pan room, my kids would flip over the lego star wars figures, and it looks as though your older kids love the stroller! ;-) What a fun summer!

You are so AMAZING! I seriously almost cried, no, actually now I really am crying as I just think of what a trooper you are. Four flights of stairs, hiking all over NYC, three kids, a TINY apartment, and you are still grinning from ear to ear. You look SOOO good (I love your haircut)! You have such a talent for optimism and just making things work. You are such an inspiration to me. I hope everything goes well for you. Call me sometime. I'll email you my number.

You are awesome! I bet people look at you funny because they think you must be a super-NANNY; there is no way 3 kids could belong to someone so skinny, cute, young and smiley! You really are awesome!!
