August 2006

Luckily a good friend of mine taught what was going wrong when I was sending pictures and so now I can do it! I am excited for you all to see more pictures of our cute little ones. July was really fun. July 4th weekend Keith gave Luke a beautiful baby blessing. The whole Smith clan, except those on missions, and Kevin and his girlfriend came out for it, and Luke's great grandpa Slack. We had so much fun. From swimming, to hiking, a fourth of july fishing party, to games, and Big Surf, and fireworks. It was a blast! Since than Keith took the GMAT, and we are now applying for MBA schools. I'm so glad he is done studying, it is so nice! We have had Keith's family brother, wife, and baby in town spending time with them.

And then a few weeks ago our August plans suddenly changed or were made. Keith is going to Brazil with his dad and brothers and to Uruguay to a part of his mission that he served in. I'm really excited for him to have time to bond with his brothers and dad. It should be some good quality bonding time in the Amazon. Since Keith was leaving we decided that the kids and I would go to Kansas City to see my family. I am really excited. It will be fun for them to see Kayla and Luke again, and Kayla will love having so many playmates. It will also be nice to get out of this heat. Afterwards, while Keith is still gone, we are going to San Diego with Kayla's grandma Busby, aunt Lisa, and cousin Luke. That will also be a blast. I wanted to put more pictures on of Luke at 2 months old or 2 and 1/2. As for the marathon training....in this heat it isn't the most fun! But it feels good to get into shape. Chaio!
