Charlotte's walking

She is the latest Busby to walk, about 14 1/2 months. She is doing it! About 2 weeks now she has gone to walking full time. She thinks she's the stuff as she struts around everywhere. She was playing a game with Luke and a rope and laughing as she walked around the house.

Soccer/T-ball

Kayla and Darren played soccer spring season, and Luke decided to do T-ball. Darren's first game was absolutely freezing, literally I went in the basement and got out all the winter gloves hats, and triple layered everyone, but Darren was so cold he wouldn't play so I worried he would be like that the whole season. But eventually he warmed up and went after the ball. Even though he liked practice more than the games because he said he never got the ball in games--he is one of the littlest ones. He did score one goal, in their own goal, but he got the idea, right?

Kayla had a great season, and got better as it went on. She was one of the best players on her team. She scored several goals, and on her last game attempted about 8 or 9 goals, but just got too close to the goalie. It was awesome to see her get more physical now that she is in an older league. Already it gets more intense. Keith is with our good friend Devin who we met last year. His son was on Kayla and Luke's soccer team last year. He started playing basketball with Keith and has been playing ever since. His kids were on Darren's team this year, and the basketball team that Keith coached. They're awesome friends.

Luke likes T-ball. Is definitely learning alot. The best part about it is that we have gone to the baseball field several times as a family to practice. All the kids love it.

Father's and Son's campout

Father's and Son's campout....therefore Girl's night as well. The boys had a blast camping with Keith. It was Darren's first time, and it was all they talked about all day. Kayla had a race at her school that night. She came in fourth for the kindergarteners, and was the first girl. We painted nails, made muddy buddies, and watched Father of the Bride. Luke took a bunch of pictures of Darren after the campout. I think some were Darren's scary face. They are funny boys.

Blue Light Saber

Blue light saber is or shall I say was our pet fish. The kids get paid allowance for doing their chores each week. They saved up all their pennies and we went to the local Petsmart and they picked out a beta fish. Unfortunately after only 2 weeks I was cleaning his bowl, and his water was really dirty since we had been out of town. He jumped out of the cup into the sink. My bad. It was more work than I thought to clean the bowl so I haven't been pushing getting another one even though I owe them, and I said I would. After all it was my fault, however I suppose I should have them clean their fish bowl. May Blue Light Saber rest in peace.

Kayla's class went on a field trip at the zoo. I was lucky enough to go with her. We had a great time. She has a really great class. All the kids are really nice. She also had an end of year show they did. They sang several really cute song. One that she said her teacher said would make all the mom's cry.

Luke's 5th Birthday!

Luke turned 5! He was so excited. We made him an Indiana Jones Cake. Thanks to Grandma Busby who gave us the cool decor for the top. We made potato soup for dinner because that's Luke's favorite, had Indiana Jones cake, and then went to Dave and Busters. We all had a good time. And they won prizes which of course they loved.
